What we do
Sustainable Arnside was set up to support people in Arnside in their journey to fight climate change and save the planet by enacting our Mission Statement. Sustainable Arnside has monthly Meetings where we discuss ideas such as how to insulate our homes, improve recycling, use green energy in our homes and for transport and improve the local environment. We have established a Repair Cafe with skilled volunteers who can give advice and repair a range of household items. In winter we offer Thermal Imaging surveys for residents to identify cold spots in their homes that could be improved with insulation. We are governed by our Constitution supported by various Policies. If you are interested in joining our mailing list or in becoming a member then please provide your details at the bottom of this page or contact sustainablearnside@gmail.com.
Who are we?
We are a non-political community-led group formed to support Arnside in the effort to reduce damaging climate change and environmental degradation. Any resident of Arnside or the surrounding area can become a member of Sustainable Arnside for £18 per annum and receive information on our activities and projects. We would like to see people of all ages, backgrounds and experience join in our efforts. We have good links with Arnside Parish Council, Futureproof Cumbria and many other local groups. We are organised by a small Committee of Arnside residents.
